How does electrolysis work?
Electrolysis consists of inserting a hair like thin titanium probe device into the hair follicle and expels a small amount of electrical energy. This procedure genetically eliminates the hair growth permanently.
What is the difference between electrolysis and laser?
With electrolysis, the target tissue in the hair follicle is the moist dermal papilla. This current, whether direct or alternating, causes either a chemical reaction or heats up the moist tissue and destroys it. The laser is different, because it’s light is absorbed by the dark pigment producing cells at the bottom of the hair follicle. The heat then destroys these cells of the dermal papilla.
What is the difference in cost between laser and electrolysis?
The cost for laser treatment seems to be greater per treatment than for electrolysis but fewer treatments are required. In most cases, the laser will prove to be less costly than conventional treatment.
How do I prepare for treatment?
With electrolysis you must discontinue any method of temporary removal for about a week before treatment and resort to clipping the hairs for the remaining appointments. Closely spaced treatments are necessary to treat the emerging hairs. As the hair growth slow, the treatments get shorter and farther apart.

How many laser treatments does it take?
With the Light Sheer Diode you can expect up to 90% permanent hair reduction in 6-8 sessions. Each session is spaced out every 4-8 weeks.
How does the laser work?
The laser light is absorbed by the dark pigment producing cells at the bottom of the hair follicle. These are called melanocytes, which means they produce melanin. The heat from the melanocytes is then transferred to the adjacent vascular cells and the heat destroys these cells of the dermal papilla.
How effective is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is being utilized for mass hair removal from large areas of the body. The hair must be dark because lasers target pigment in the hair follicles. Therefore, lasers do not work on blonde, red, white, or gray hairs.
How do I prepare for treatment?
It is important that all hairs be present in the follicle for the laser to be successful. Avoid using any method of hair removal except shaving or clipping for 6 weeks prior to treatment. It is advisable to shave the area the night before or day of your laser treatment.

MICROPEEL
This is a combination of dermaplaning and the use of alpha-hydroxy acid to reduce the appearance of dull skin, and make the skin feel smoother and softer. Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation used to clear away dry, dead, superfluous skin layers. It also increases the rate of absorption of skincare products by removing dead skin cells that are functioning as a barrier. Alpha-hydroxy acid is then used to increase cellular turnover and refines the top layer of skin (epidermis). $125 each/6 for $600
VIPEEL
This peel is designed for ALL skin types to improve the tone and texture of the skin. It also stimulates collagen and elastin production. Its great for reversing sun damage and signs of aging, and is highly effective in treating hyper pigmentation (brown spots) including melasma.
